Owner Occupied Rehab (OOR) Contractor’s List Announcement
Fort Wayne – Brightpoint is opening its Contractor’s list for the Owner Occupied Rehab (OOR) Program. Brightpoint, a private, not-for-profit Social Service and Community Development Agency, is working with Allen County to administer the Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation (OOR) program as part of the New Allen Alliance Stellar award. This award will support the rehabilitation of approximately fourteen homes located within seven East Allen communities (New Haven, Monroeville, Harlan, Woodburn, Grabill, Hoagland, and Leo-Cedarville.)
Brightpoint is a federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) sub-grantee for residential home repairs programs for qualified low-income households. Contractors are needed for repairs on single-family site-built and manufactured housing that includes but is not limited to, Health and Safety, Structural, Aging in Place, Energy. If funding permits, some additional items that increase the owner’s comfort are allowed. - Name of principal owner(s)
- A copy of Contractors License
- EIN (tax identification number and name)
- A copy of current liability insurance coverage. The Contractor shall provide (Contractor’s Liability Insurance of not less than $1,000,000 during the period of this Contract”.)
- At least three (3) names references from previous clients
Please note that Indiana Housing Community Development Authority’s (IHCDA) goal is to have ten percent (10%) participation by MBE/WBE firms in CDBG funded projects.
