Brightpoint Opening Housing Choice Voucher Program Waiting List

Fort Wayne, IN – Brightpoint will soon be opening the waiting list for the Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCVP), commonly known as Section 8. HCVP assists with rent payments to provide decent, affordable, sanitary, and safe housing for persons with low incomes.

Brightpoint will accept applications online only at the links found at www.mybrightpoint.org/HCVP. The application portal will be open on November 14, 2022, starting at 7:30 a.m. EST. Applicants will be required to create a WaitListCheck account and have a valid e-mail address in order to submit an application.

Applicants are placed on the waiting list in order of preference points, then by date and time of application. Those applying for HCVP should understand that placement on the waiting list is not a guarantee that they will qualify for assistance. If the applicant does not work or reside in the county for which they have applied, it is unlikely that they will be selected from the waiting list.

Brightpoint services HCVP in Allen (excluding Fort Wayne), DeKalb, Elkhart (excluding Goshen and Elkhart), Fulton, Kosciusko (excluding Warsaw), LaGrange, Marshall, Noble, Steuben, and Whitley Counties.
