Brightpoint Receives Funding from the Lincoln Financial Foundation

Fort Wayne, IN – Brightpoint has received a $20,000 grant from the Lincoln Financial Foundation to assist families in northeast Indiana through the Family Development program.

Family Development is a voluntary, in-home program of supportive services that helps families identify their strengths, desires, and goals. Participants develop flexible action plans that focus on long-term self-sufficiency. This past year, over 900 people participated in Family Development and 87% of them improved their overall self-sufficiency while in the program.

Lincoln Financial Foundation works with non-profit organizations that adhere to best practices and can point to proven outcomes. They look for partners who assess their programs for effectiveness and efficiency. The Foundation supports programs that help overcome setbacks and prevent derailment in a time of crisis by reducing homelessness and increasing food security.

This funding will assist Brightpoint in providing services to help northeast Indiana residents through difficult circumstances and provide a foundation for long-term housing stability.
