K21 Health Foundation Grant Increases Access to Healthcare in Kosciusko County
Brightpoint has received a $17,500 grant from K21 Health Foundation to support the Covering Kids and Families (CKF) program. CKF works to improve access to healthcare through community-based outreach and enrollment assistance in state and federally sponsored health coverage programs. This grant is being matched with $26,250 in funds from CKF Indiana for a total of $43,750 to support enrollment, outreach, and health literacy activities.
Brightpoint knows that finding and applying for health coverage can be difficult. Covering Kids and Families of Brightpoint has licensed healthcare Navigators who help consumers review their options and guide them through the enrollment process. This grant from the K21 Health Foundation, along with the matching funds from CKF-IN, will help Brightpoint assist the residents of Kosciusko County in applying for and maintaining health insurance coverage.
“The impact of this program is not only to help qualified residents get health coverage, but the relationship that is established allows Brightpoint to assist in helping them keep coverage active in future years when renewal periods happen,” shared K21 President and CEO Rich Haddad.
Brightpoint has a local office at the K21 Health Services Pavilion at 1515 Provident Drive in Warsaw. Residents interested in health coverage through Medicaid or Marketplace are encouraged to make an appointment at mybrightpoint.org/CKF or 800-589-2264.
