Kosciusko County Community Foundation Awards $6,000 Grant to Brightpoint to fund Covering Kids and Families Program

Warsaw, IN – Brightpoint has been awarded a grant in the amount of $6,000 by the Kosciusko County Community Foundation. These funds will be used for the Covering Kids and Families of Northeast Indiana (CKF-NEIN) program.

The grant will be used to assist families and individuals with enrolling in health insurance programs. Brightpoint’s CKF program employs licensed Indiana Navigators who provide free help to Hoosier families so they can understand and enroll in state and federal health insurance programs such as Medicaid, Hoosier Healthwise, Presumptive Eligibility for Pregnant Women, the Healthy Indiana Plan and the Health Insurance Marketplace.

“CKF-NEIN strives to eliminate the barriers that families face with enrolling in, utilizing, and maintaining health coverage. The grant from the Kosciusko County Community Foundation will allow CKF-NEIN to continue to remove one of the causes and conditions of poverty by helping Kosciusko County residents to obtain health insurance and quality health care services” stated Amanda Chappell, local director of CKF-NEIN and Program Manager at Brightpoint.

Those needing assistance with health insurance coverage are encouraged to visit Brightpoint’s website: www.mybrightpoint.org/ckf or call (800) 589-2264 to schedule an appointment.
